About the role  We seek an experienced and skilled Data Architect to join our dynamic team, specialising in data modelling in a cloud-based environment for data engineering and warehouse solutions.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data warehouse/datalake models that support our organisation's strategic objectives to ensure that our data systems are secure, scalable, and efficient, aligning with the company's overall strategy and goals.
As a trusted advisor to the business, your role is pivotal in analysing and translating business analytical needs into Data Engineering and Data Warehouse solutions.

Here's what we are looking for;  Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Solid experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role with a strong knowledge of data warehousing and data engineering concepts and best practices.
3+ years of hands-on experience in data modelling, particularly with Data Vault 2.0 and Kimball methodology in designing data solutions.
Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Experience with data architecture design patterns such as Databricks medallion-architecture and delta Lake concept such as Lakehouse Platform.
Prior experience owning the development of best practices in data management.
Ability to mentor and upskill team members in data modelling and architecture, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, high-level judgement, objectivity, and logic and work with broad direction to determine the best course of action.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships at all levels.
Hands-on experience building cloud-based data warehousing solutions in Azure and Databricks.
Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
Understanding of large-scale agile release trains, preferably using SAFe agile practice.
Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Familiarity with pipeline automation tooling.
Ability to quickly understand business concepts and needs.
Outcome-focused with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality customer service.
Maintain attention to detail in the technical documents and procedures.
Up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data modelling, engineering, and warehousing.
Proficiency with data modelling tools (e.g.
Erwin, ER/Studio).
Knowledge of Data Engineering tools (e.g.
ADF, Databricks).
Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g.
Informatica, SSIS).
