Asahi have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst to play a vital role in safeguarding our digital environment. You will be responsible for detecting and responding to cyber incidents while collaborating with various teams to enhance security measures and mitigate risks. Your role will involve actively monitoring security threats, performing thorough analyses of security events, and recommending improvements to our detection and response strategies. You'll also provide technical support and training to local teams, ensure compliance with security standards, and maintain system documentation. Regular health checks and audits will be key components of your responsibilities, helping to ensure optimal system performance and the security of our operations.
Key responsibilities Actively monitoring security alerts and managing day-to-day incident response activities. Conducting thorough analyses of security events to identify root causes and recommend improvements. Testing and tuning of existing detection algorithms and development of new detection and prevention mechanisms. Proactive testing of security controls. Monitoring of open source security intelligence to alert the business. Providing technical leadership and support for security tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Promoting a culture of cybersecurity awareness and fostering collaboration between technical and non-technical teams. Ensuring all operational, regulatory, and service-level security requirements are consistently met across the organisation. About You To be successful in this role, you'll have demonstrated experience in detecting and responding to cyber threats, ideally within a large-scale enterprise or technology-driven environment. You will possess a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and collaboration. You'll also bring:
Previous experience in security operations, including incident detection, analysis, and response. Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM solutions, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems. A strong technical background in conducting threat assessments and root cause analyses to improve security controls. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. A solid understanding of security standards and best practices relevant to cybersecurity. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, focused on continuous improvement and enhancing the organisation's security posture.
