Customer Relationship Officer

Details of the offer

The Project Officer, Agriculture Climate Adaptation supports projects and activities that aim to have real impacts on the agriculture sector by raising the awareness, knowledge, and skills of farmers and producers to continue to take action to build climate resilience and adapt to a changing climate.

The Agriculture Sector Customer Support Officer seeks to streamline the creation of impact and value the Bureau delivers to Australia's agriculture sector. They are focused on supporting the Agriculture Team to develop deep and trusted relationships with their customers, capture and communicate customer needs, and develop projects to meet those needs. The role is well suited to a high-performing, early career professional with a desire to build experience in how to work with agriculture sector leaders to create impact at national scale.

The Agriculture Sector Customer Support Officer is self-motivated and agile. They are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and can implement tools and processes that reduce overheads associated with a wide range of customer engagement activities. They will collaborate with Customer Leads to capture customer needs and will therefore be comfortable engaging directly with customers. They are comfortable with the occasional need to travel interstate.

Their presence will enable the Agriculture and Water Program to effectively utilise tools such as Dynamics365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams tools, to maximise time spent with customers rather than performing administration. They enjoy problem solving and on-the-job learning. They are confident communicators and exhibit a growth mindset and a willingness to continuously learn new aspects of customers' businesses and keep abreast of the Bureau's capabilities, products, and services. They will develop and maintain relationships with experts within the Bureau to leverage expertise within other Bureau teams, particularly in regards to the implementation of customer engagement tools and processes.

This role is part of a national team, which leverages digital platforms for collaboration, while building trusted relationships on the ground in every Australian state and territory.

The successful candidate will contribute to projects and collaborate with delivery partners and customers to support developing and implementing impactful solutions, under the direction of the Team Leader, Agriculture.
