As part of the First Peoples Experiences department within the Museums Victoria Research Institute, you will be responsible for delivering engaging programs and activities to diverse audiences.

We are seeking two cultural interpreters to facilitate learning programs, tours, workshops, and shows for education groups, community organisations and the general public, using professional judgement to deliver learning outcomes for diverse audiences.
This exciting position will also have the opportunity to use contemporary digital tools to support and deliver engaging educational experiences and will support and supervise new staff and volunteers with program and procedure familiarisation, including peer-to-peer learning, communication guidance and procedural training.

ABOUT YOU: To succeed in this role, we are looking for two people with the following skills:
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present First Peoples' knowledge, cultures, histories, and technology to diverse audiences.Proven experience in facilitating First Peoples programs, workshops, or shows for diverse audiences, with the ability to adapt to audience needs.Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams.Self-motivated and capable of taking responsibility for your own performance and managing your work and time effectively.This position is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants in accordance with relevant Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation. OTHER INFORMATION Position 1:Irregular part-time ongoing, and the salary offered is $66,063-$72,985 (plus 11.5% superannuation) per annum paid pro-rata.
