The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds.
The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide.
Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community.

Join us in a hands-on role with meaningful, life-saving outcomes!As a CSSD Attendant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the sterilisation of medical and surgical equipment, instruments, consumables, and anaesthetic equipment.
You'll help ensure that all items are meticulously cleaned, decontaminated, and ready for use, following industry best practices and safety standards.This entry-level position comes with an up to 12-month orientation program, meaning you'll receive hands-on training and professional development to build your expertise in sterilisation technologies and infection control.
No prior experience is required, but a keen eye for detail, teamwork, and an eagerness to learn will set you up for success.In your day-to-day, you'll be working with a range of sterilisation equipment, from manual handwashing to high-pressure steam sterilisation and chemical processes.
You'll also contribute to maintaining quality control records and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
