Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Job Summary: As Craft Supervisor - Instrument, you will lead a team and supervise craft professionals on the project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. Major Responsibilities: Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned. Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each team member. Determines workforce requirements. Coordinates established area operational plans. Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site. Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive. Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation. Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets. Collaboration with Construction Field Engineers, Supervisors, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents. Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Supervisors and Craft Professionals. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires Cert III Instrumentation qualification (or equivalent) and 6-8 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role, in a Heavy Industrial environment. Experience in permit preparation and Lock Out/ Tag Out is essential. Required Knowledge and Skills: Previous experience in Oil and Gas an advantage. Experience in managing a direct hire work force. Commercial awareness essential. Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required. Additional Information This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.). The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site. This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
