NES FIRCROFT are working with Woodside Energy, seeking a Cost Controller to join their Global Wells & Seismic Team.Location: Perth CBDExperience Level: 3+ years' experience as a Cost Controller in Oil and Gas industryStart Date: ASAPDuration of Assignment: 12 monthsRoster: Monday to Friday (Hours 7.5 per day)Duties & Responsibilities: Support cost monitoring and controlling activities through all phases of drilling and completion campaigns. Support the evaluation of the estimate and set up the cost tracker, cost monitoring & control, forecasting and tracking cost variances, change management, reporting, cost risk analysis, assurance, and closeout. Perform in accordance with Corporate Policies and Management Standards and fully Compliant and Promote Woodside Safety Culture. Build cost tracker from approved estimate. Manage Value of Work Done (VOWD) process, Performance Measurement, VOWD phasing, trends and all Cost Control activities for the assigned scope. Develop Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC). Maintain the cost forecast in accordance with agreed procedures. Manage routines with stakeholders and cross functional groups (such as Exploration, Projects, Development, Finance, Projects Business Office, Supply Chain). Ensure early recognition and warning to stakeholders of adverse cost trends impacting agreed cost targets and budgets. Assess risks and opportunities that may impact the current forecast. Ability to quickly learn legacy processes and good understanding of P2 P and Cost Control processes to improve, influence ways of working, and support change management with key stakeholders. Review the Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order Process to support vendor management. Support Cost Performance Lead in Cost Control and Cost Estimation practices. Qualifications: Degree, cost engineering program or relevant experience. Demonstrated understanding of project services and contracting/procurement disciplines and their relationships to cost engineering activities. Highly effective communication skills and ability to develop and present management reports at all levels, including presentations to management. Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills. Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving. Location for this assignment is Perth working full-time hours. Skills & Experience: 3+ years' experience as a Cost Controller in Oil and Gas industry. Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement. Good understanding of cost control processes and best practice. Skilled in SAP and Excel. Ability to use cost control tools and templates. Ability to prepare quality documentation.
