To maximise plant operation availability by the operational integrity of the plant and equipment in order to achieve production targets in accordance with the RNO maintenance strategy.
Whilst assisting with the oversight of the day-to-day maintenance, the Electrical Coordinator will be required to ensure that all functions are carried out in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities Lead by example with respect to health, safety and environmental responsibilities; ensuring compliance to Company Safety Standards and Procedures through provision of coaching and mentoring of employees and contractors to eliminate incidents and injuries.
Identify, scope and manage improvement projects within the E&I area through efficient engagement and management of contract labour.
Carry out inspections of new electrical installations.
Manage maintenance activities associated with the HV infrastructure.
Coordinate and maintain HV permit system.
Manage testing compliance of all HV/LV PPE and equipment.
Assist with the development and implementation of the E&I training program.
Work closely with E&I supervisors to implement strategies to increase equipment efficiency and reliability. 
Responsible for the sites adherence to legislative electrical safety compliance and develop and implement strategies for continued improvement.
Drive commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities, ensuring compliance to Company Safety Standards and Procedures.
Perform failure investigations of critical equipment failures, with the aim of continuous improvement.
Provide technical direction and guidance for the electrical maintenance teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Minimum 5-10 years supervisory experience
Non-restricted WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
Preferably an Electrical nominee ticket, or able and willing to acquire such
HV switching ticket and sound knowledge of the permit requirements for HV
Experience with the maintenance and testing of HV infrastructure
Knowledge of metallurgical plants preferably Nickel.
Broad understanding of the electrical standards relating to mine sites.
Self-motivated and conscientious
Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical & electrical drawings
Ability to work with others and achieve objectives
Commitment to continuous improvement and KPI's.
Able to plan and effectively delegate to achieve desired outcomes and objectives.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
A clear understanding of preventative maintenance, planning, strong communication skills and a flexible 'can do' approach to work.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people from diverse technical and workplace backgrounds.
Able to work within tight time constraints and deliver on deadlines.
