To maximise plant operation availability by the operational integrity of the plant and equipment in order to achieve production targets in accordance with the RNO maintenance strategy.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Coordinator will play a crucial role in the maintenance of the Beneficiation area at the Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation.
Whilst assisting the Maintenance Superintendent with day-to-day maintenance, the Maintenance Coordinator will be required to ensure that all functions are executed in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
Accountabilities are delivered in line with the FQMAN Values of working in a way which is Bolder, Smarter, Driven and Together .
This is a complex and challenging operation. The circuit and areas are typical of a hydrometallurgical process plant.
The process plant areas consists of:
A Beneficiation circuit , consisting of crushers and grinding mills with associated support systems and process circuits including conveying systems, vibrating screens, centrifugal and P.D pumps, pipework and cyclones, various sized tankage with agitation. A Leach circuit consisting of High Pressure Acid Leach Trains which include autoclaves and associated support systems, HP vessels, HP centrifugal and P.D. pumps and pipework also an Atmospheric Leach circuit with associated centrifugal pumps, pipework and various sized tankage with agitation. A Hydro circuit with associated centrifugal pumps, pipework and various sized tankage with agitation, pressure and vacuum filters including associated support systems. A Utilities plant which includes a Sulphuric Acid plant, steam turbines and diesel generators for power generation, desalination plant, and air compressors. Key Accountabilities Promote and support the development of sound engineering practices; Drive commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities, ensuring compliance to Company Safety Standards and Procedures; Drive a culture of preventative maintenance, planning, open communication and a flexible 'can do' approach to work; Conduct failure investigations of critical equipment failures, with the aim of continuous improvement; Provide technical direction and guidance for the maintenance teams; Ensure maintenance team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives; Support the establishment and maintenance of an efficient, motivated team; Achieve daily planned maintenance targets; Provide mentoring and coaching for the maintenance team; and Drive high availability of all mechanical equipment within area of responsibility. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Mechanical trade background preferably fitting, 5-10 years supervision experience; Significant previous experience in a supervisory role within heavy fixed plant maintenance environment preferably Beneficiation; Must have significant mechanical experience in a crushing, milling and conveying environments; Experience and knowledge regarding swing jaw crushers, cone crushers, scrubbers, ball mills, conveyors, feeders, centrifugal pumps, thickeners, screens and belt filters; Self-motivated, conscientious and leads by example; Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical drawings; Sound understanding of Pronto; Ability to work with others, achieve departmental KPI's and objectives; Commitment to continuous improvement and safety; Able to plan and effectively delegate to achieve desired outcomes and objectives; Problem solving and analytical skills; Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people from diverse technical and workplace backgrounds; Able to work within tight time constraints and deliver on deadlines; and Schedule 26 appointed or will be required to obtain the qualification within a specified timeframe.
