Cook

We are looking for a cook to join our team at Up the Garden Path in Amaroo on Mandalay.
The candidate should hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery and have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
The ideal cook for this position should be comfortable:
Examining food to ensure quality and safety.Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, as well as fridges and freezers and any other cooking equipment or storage used in the kitchen.Preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving meals for both services (breakfast and dinner) and special function events (catering), as well as portioning it and adding sauces, sides, and garnishes.Meeting special dietary requirements in a safe manner.Planning menus and estimating food requirements for orders.Training other kitchen new staff and/or apprentices.Here in Amaroo on Mandalay, we aim to build a strong group of people in which teamwork will become key.
