Our Client, Hamara Pty Ltd, trading as Hamara Gaadi, runs a bustling Indian restaurant in Kellyville.
Renowned for delivering an authentic dining experience, the restaurant brings the rich and varied flavors of Indian cuisine to its customers.
The Hamara Gaadi team is dedicated to providing high-quality food and exceptional service.
The employer is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cook with expertise in Indian cuisine, capable of managing a high volume of customers.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, and traditional desserts.
This hands-on role demands meticulous attention to detail and a positive work ethic.
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess relevant work experience and trade qualifications and demonstrate a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
The successful applicant will also need to adhere to all WHS, Food Safety, and HACCP standards.
Minimum Requirements:  Certificate II or III in commercial Cookery with at least 3 years' experience In this role your main responsibilities include:  Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes following traditional recipes and presentation standards.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use Undertake portion control practices, arrange, and garnish food according to the creative ethos of the kitchen Manage and oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, introducing new and innovative dishes.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for kitchen supplies as needed.
Store food in temperature-controlled facilities Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and maintain a positive and efficient work atmosphere.
Help with stock management including, ordering, rotation, and wastage control Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum Skills and Attributes:  Proven experience as a Cook specializing in Indian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
