The Opportunity A fabulous opportunity for an Experienced Control Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team, you will be responsible for performing control and instrumentation systems investigations, design, programming, configuration, documentation, testing and commissioning for industrial, utility and government clients, at a high standard of professional expertise, requiring minimal technical supervision.
The position is based primarily in a professional office environment in Gladstone, Qld. However, the employee will be required to attend client sites in both commercial and industrial environments.
About You Standard Queensland Open-class Motor Vehicle License A minimum of (5-10) years relevant Control Systems engineering experience A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised Australian institution Functional Safety Engineer certification in Safety Instrumented Systems or Certification as a Machinery Safety Expert will be highly regarded Proven design capability in an industrial environment Detailed knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes Demonstrated project management capability Excellent written & oral communication skills Technical/practical skills in most of the areas of Control Strategy design & Control systems Ability to read technical documentation, write and review well-structured technical reports Ability to effectively and proficiently respond to questions from groups of clients, managers, customers and internal staff Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists Utilise all available research methods and resources available for technical support Travel away from home for up to two weeks at a time will be expected Your Reward Full time, permanent Attractive salary rates that reflects your skills and experience.
