The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track.
The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.
About the opportunity As the Illabo to Stockinbingal (I2S) project Senior Contracts Administrator your primary responsibilities will include budget management, progress claim verifications, variation and claim assessments, payment certificates and contractual correspondence for a significant greenfields construction contract.
Based in either Sydney or the Riverina and working within a collaborative and friendly team you will report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the project delivery team to address any contractual issues and ensure compliance and consistency across established systems and procedures.
Your additional responsibilities will include:
Verify and process progress claims and payment certificates in accordance with contractual requirements.Prepare commercially acceptable contract documents and correspondence.Aid in dispute resolution seeking assistance from the Commercial leadership or Legal Counsel where required.Ensure progress claims and payment certificates accurately reflect work undertaken and comply with contractual requirements.Monitor and collaborate with contractors in conjunction with the commercial and project delivery teams.Maintain accurate and detailed documentation and correspondence, distributing where appropriate in a timely and professional manner.Actively seek to improve value for IRPL on the project.Regularly attend site to observe construction progress and discuss issues with the IRPL delivery team and contractor.About you To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:
