Contracts Administrator

Role Overview:

With a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction, they are expanding their team and seeking a talented Contracts Administrator to join in delivering unparalleled residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracts Management:
Prepare, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and procurement processes.
Claims & Variations settlements:
Process progress claims, variations, and invoices.
Project Coordination:
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Financial Aspect:
Assist the project team in ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations.
Read and interpret all site plans and specifications.
Quotations:
Ability to obtain and clarify quotes from suppliers & contractors, Quote cost comparisons.
Cost Control:
First base principles estimating including material take-offs, labour estimate, and creating full itemized cost breakdowns.
Tender Drafting:
Liaising with client, colleagues, and sub-contractors to arrange site access for tendering purposes.
Documentation:
Take the lead on all document control and document issuing to relevant parties.
Tender Submission:
Collate all tender documents ready for submission.
General Administration:
Liaise with administration support to obtain contract and deposit payments.
Stakeholder Management:
Correspond with all clients, architects, certifiers, and council inspectors.
Procurement:
Sourcing material and prices.
WHS:
Preparing all WHS documentation.
Collaboration:
Liaise with site supervisor and construction manager to monitor budget, variations, and construction schedule.
Audit & Compliance:
Conduct site safety audits including reviewing all SWMS.
Person Specification:
An in-depth knowledge of construction, methodology, and procurement strategies.
Strong negotiating skills to drive the "best deal".
A passion for construction and ability to manage both head and subcontracts.
An interest in value management, and a steadfast approach for finding value for money.
Ability to work with development managers, builders, estimators, design managers, and subcontractors.
Ability to hold people to account and drive an outcome.
