Contract Administrator (High Rise)

This national developer/builder, with international blue chip equity partners, has been building investment, retail, townhouse and high end homes to an exceptional standard for over 20 years. Their development arm has been involved in several iconic high rise projects, they are currently setting up a commercial division within their construction business. They require a very experienced senior CA to manage all the financial outcomes for each project. The first project, starting in early 2025 comprises of 2 x 16 level tower with 300 apartments, $100M value.
Reporting to a newly appointed PM, responsibilities include:
Managing contracts and procurementCompliance and risk managementManage and document contract variationsClaims and dispute resolutionQualify control and inspectionsCost reporting and forecastingPreparing a detailed scope of worksNegotiate with subbies to secure favourable termsMonitor project expenses within budgetAssess progress claims and manage subcontractor paymentsKeep up to date project records (correspondence and contracts)Co-ordinate with various stakeholders and teams to ensure seamless operationsOur ideal applicant will have at least 3 years experience in commercial multi-residential apartment projects $50M plus, preferably with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder. You should have a high level of communication skills and a commitment to delivering high quality projects. You will be adept at reading plans and creating Excel spreadsheets. We need a person with in depth knowledge of construction methodology and procurement strategies, and an ability to hold people to account and drive outcomes. You will also need a proven track record working on large, iconic projects and your related qualification in building/construction/project management is required.
