In this permanent, full-time role, you'll play a key part in establishing and maintaining a disciplined governance and regulatory compliance system.
Reporting to the Compliance, Assurance & Risk Manager, you will provide specialist advice and ensure that best practices are adopted in governance and compliance management in line with AGL's risk and compliance frameworks.

What You'll Be Doing:Implementing policies, standards, and systems to monitor regulatory changes and reduce business impacts.Leading compliance assurance activities, ensuring stakeholders meet their obligations.Building strong relationships with key personnel, providing training and mentoring support.Delivering targeted reports and contributing to corporate compliance efforts.Supporting operational strategies to meet compliance and risk requirements.Driving initiatives to manage risks and continuously improve practices.About You:You are really collaborative and proactive, with great communication skills. You are committed to sharing your insights and gathering all the information to drive high-quality outcomes. Your focus on improving practices and working effectively with a broad range of stakeholders will make you successful in this role.
What You'll Bring to the Table:Skills in risk, compliance, audit, and assurance.Qualifications in governance, internal audit, risk management, compliance management, law, or business, OR a Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management.Experience with Risk and Compliance Management frameworks, practices, and systems.A sound understanding of auditing and assurance processes.Proven initiative and professional judgement in reviewing compliance and risk management frameworks and driving improvements.Influence, with the ability to work across various levels of the organisation.Nice to haves:Knowledge of the energy industry and its key challenges and risks.Experience in heavy industry environments.Familiarity with ISO 31000 and ISO 37301/19600 standards.Knowledge of and experience in the management of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Legislation.If this sounds like your next career, go ahead and apply before 10th of November 2024.
