Our team in Melbourne currently has an opening for a Compliance & Administration Officer ANZ YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESCorporateCompliance Officer: responsible for overseeing ANZ's corporatecompliance, coordinating with ANZ management and Brenntag's regional compliancemanagers to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures touphold ANZ laws and regulations and monitoring the company's adherence to thosepolicies and procedures.
Administration: responsiblefor providing administrative support for Brenntag ANZ, supporting HR Team, ANZ ManagingDirectors and undertaking other daily activities and projects as required.
First contact in local organisation for all compliance-related requestsEnsure Brenntag ANZ has a clearly defined program for complying with the country's laws and Brenntag's corporate guidelines.Review and maintain Brenntag's compliance management systemsDevelop internal company policies for ANZ aligned with Brenntag's global and regional compliance requirementsImplement local compliance processes aligned with Brenntag's global and regional compliance processesReport to management and the regional compliance managers concerning the organisation's compliance with local laws and regulations and local compliance programTake action in dealing with noncompliance situations, creating realistic plans to overcome them.Conduct regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.Communicate with employees and ensure everyone knows what they need to do to comply with internal and external laws and regulations.Communicate Global and Regional compliance initiatives, training, and projects with employeesSupporting the Regional Compliance Manager during the Compliance Risk Assessment (every 2-3 years)Supporting local stakeholders in preparation for and during audits about compliance-related topicsMonitoring of implementation of action plans/remediation measures (e.g., after compliance-related audits or investigations) by following up with local and regional stakeholdersManage the ANZ Gift RegisterManageand maintain the Legal DMS Contract Management system and processFacilities Management—building maintenance/cleaning of kitchen/office and parking access / essential grocery orders/office equipmentSourcing and purchase of corporate merchandisingDigital communication – Britesign management – access/messagingAssisting with guest travel – vias preparation, booking of accommodation, plane tickets and transportSecurity bins/archiving/toner recycling managementStationary / printing managementAssist in coordinating Company Events/functions and any other ad hoc events within the companyPerformsuch other duties and activities which may be assigned to you from time to timeYOUR PROFILE3 years experience as Legal Assistant/ Executive Assistant/ Compliance officer, regulatory administration An understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards is beneficial. This includes knowledge of financial regulations, data privacy laws, anti-corruption laws, etc.The ability to identify and assess compliance risks externally (regulatory changes) and internally (processes, policies, and practices).Experience in policy developmentAuditing experience in conducting audits to identify potential weaknesses and non-compliance situationsStrong Problem-Solving skillsEthical Awareness upholding ethicalprinciples and ensuring the organisation's actions align with its values.OUR OFFEROur culture is driven by our valuesof Care, Trust, Clarity, Excellence and Safety.
