About the Role A rewarding and challenging role, as a disability support worker, you will be instrumental in providing support for our participants and making a positive impact on their quality of life.
Prior experience in the mental health sector is highly advantageous, with specific expertise in supporting epilepsy, BOC, TIP and complex behavioural clients highly regarded. Our Participant is seeking Male Support Workers to support him in a SIL house setting for personal care, meal preparation, domestic duties and ADL's.
The participant needs 24/7 support; therefore, your flexibility and availability are essential. Shifts available from Mon – Sunday. AM, PM and Sleepover shifts. Skills & Experience Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable Mental health, Epilepsy, BOC, TIP and complex behavioural experience Relevant nationally recognised qualification highly desirable Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment) Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment) Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment) NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment) Full Australian working rights Smartphone with internet access Preferred (but not essential) that applicants have attained relevant qualification or are studying disability related qualifications Remain calm under pressure, identify risk factors and make sound decisions.
