This role involves providing high quality and safe mental health services to consumers with severe and enduring mental illness within a multidisciplinary context.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide quality and safe mental health services to consumers within a multidisciplinary context.Coordinate and deliver high quality, comprehensive, and integrated Social Work services to eligible mental health consumers.Contribute to professional leadership in the application of clinical protocols and standards within the multi-disciplinary team.Apply clinical skills to a broad scope of practice, promoting self-determination and connectedness.Facilitate change and recovery with consumers and their families using social work knowledge, skills, and values.Manage an increasingly complex mental health Social Work caseload and support team members.Evaluate and reflect on own practice and effectiveness with a professional supervisor.Contribute to health outcomes by applying mental health care principles to service development and delivery.Engage in and develop a formal clinical supervision agreement with the Clinical Senior Social Worker.Develop and maintain inter and intra-professional clinical networks across South Australia.Collaborate with consumers to set and review their own goals.Plan and facilitate transitions between levels of service with consumers, families, and other services.Identify areas where advocacy is required and support or advocate for the consumer.Develop clear bio-psycho-social formulations and plans with direct work and appropriate referrals.Collaborate and provide counselling and referrals to strengthen support networks.Maintain professional documentation and contribute to consumer care plans.Provide clear, detailed, and comprehensive reports documenting clinical opinions and recommendations.About YouTertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for full registration with AASW.Previous experience in a similar role providing integrated Social Work services to mental health consumers.Experience within rural and remote contexts, managing a complex caseload.Demonstrated experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Well-developed communication, liaison, prioritization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Participation in service planning, development, quality improvement, and evaluation.Current drivers' licence is essential, with a willingness to travel in light aircraft as required.Current National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Check, or ability to obtain for credentialing.Compensation: Excellent casual agency rates - $64-73 per hour + super (based on experience).If this sounds like something of interest, please get in touch: Ross Jenkins | Executive Consultant, Mental Health Team.
