Job Opportunity: Community Place Manager
Are you passionate about community engagement and infrastructure projects? We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our clients newly established team as a Community Place Manager.
About The Role
Position: Community Place Manager (Federal Government Project)
Employment Type: 12 month contingent placement
Location: Newcastle (hybrid, with occasional travel to Sydney)
Security Clearance: Baseline Vetting Level
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for the community, ensuring their feedback is heard and integrated into project planning
Plan and execute community relations strategies to support the development of a major infrastructure project
Engage with local communities through various channels, including door-knocking and letterboxing, to build awareness and understanding of the project
Provide a point of contact for members of the community to ensure they are aware of opportunities to provide feedback on the Project
Work closely with the project team to address community concerns and ensure that communication is clear, consistent, and effective.
About You
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in communications, community, or customer engagement
At least four years of experience in community engagement with a preference for those with infrastructure project experience
Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

Eligibility
You must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance
