Your Opportunity Join the Psychosocial Support Program (PSP) in an exciting role where you'll build dynamic relationships with clients, their support networks, and a range of clinical and non-clinical services to deliver a truly integrated service response. You'll be at the heart of empowering clients by facilitating individual and group mental health and wellbeing programs, while working closely with Peer Advocates and the PSP team to ensure client voices shape our service delivery.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Building strong relationships with clients, their support networks, and services to ensure coordinated support for the Psychosocial Support Program (PSP). Recording client information in MA Connect. Integrating client and family views into service planning and delivery. Facilitating 1:1 and group mental health and wellbeing programs with Peer Advocates. Developing, implementing, and evaluating workshop materials. Designing and coordinating events and workshops to promote mental health literacy, reduce stigma, and encourage early help-seeking. Collaborating with the Program Manager, Peer Advocates, and the team to maintain partnerships with key stakeholders and service providers. Developing an annual community engagement and health promotion calendar. Supporting clients to improve their networks and community supports. Attending regional meetings to ensure program integration and consistency. Organizing community engagement activities within a budget. Completing client and group activity reports. Ensuring quality assurance and timely completion of administrative tasks. Requirements for Success Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in mental health recovery-oriented services. Extensive previous experience in Community Development/Project Management. Exceptional planning and development expertise. Pre-existing community connections and/or knowledge on how to source networking connections within the community. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate community awareness programs. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong administrative skills and proficiency with technology, including databases and mobile devices. Superior time management abilities. Interpersonal skills. Proven experience in coordinating and facilitating community programs, events, and activities. Expertise in utilizing social media as an effective communication tool. Profound understanding of the challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and LGBTIQIA+ communities. Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
