Package: $80,643.83 to $85,977.97 per annum About the Role A typical week in the Shire of Murray Community Development team could look like this:
Delivery of innovative community development initiatives.Developing programs to enhance and activate community spaces.Working with community groups to build their capacity and assisting them to achieve their goals.Identifying funding opportunities to deliver strategic outcomes.Promoting events and activities to a broad audience to increase participation.Networking with not-for-profit organisations and service providers to build relationships to increase services in the Shire of Murray.About You We're looking for a community development allrounder, someone keen to innovate and play a fundamental role in improving the quality of life for our residents. You'll be a motivated and dynamic strategic thinker with a 'can do' attitude who is passionate about working with and improving outcomes for our community.
Skills and Experience The successful applicant will ideally have tertiary qualifications in Community Development or a related field and/or substantial demonstrated experience in a similar role. Skills in communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution are essential, and experience in writing and managing successful grant submissions are highly regarded. A demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment is required, along with the ability to work positively within a small team environment.
