About your new role
As a Community Centres Operations Officer, you'll play a vital role in the seamless operation of our community centres, managing their daily activities across a designated area. In this role, you will ensure these centres are welcoming spaces for everyone—residents, businesses, and community groups alike. By overseeing everything from customer service and reservations to safety standards and facility upkeep, you'll help create an environment where people feel connected and supported.
You'll be instrumental in upholding high standards in cleanliness, presentation, and safety, allowing community members to enjoy a reliable and accessible space that meets their needs. With every interaction and operational decision, you'll be contributing to a vibrant and thriving Gold Coast community.
About you
Proficiency in a reservations software system similar to those used in the hotel and travel industry or other venue management systems. Experience managing and mentoring team members in a high-performing environment is preferred. Proven ability to step up and support and mentor colleagues effectively. Experience in venue management with a proactive approach to operational decision-making. You demonstrate confidence and remain calm under pressure. You're an adept communicator, able to connect with diverse community members and adapt your style to suit your audience. You're highly organised with a strong ability to follow a procedure, multi-task, prioritise tasks and follow through. You are quick to learn new technologies with a commitment to health and safety standards. You embrace collaboration and are adaptable to change. You are committed to delivering excellent customer service and enhancing the overall customer experience. You're flexible and open to working across multiple centres in the Gold Coast area.
