At MST our Communications Technicians are an integral part of our customer facing operations, providing service and support to customers both onsite and in our workshops.
Technicians will work across our MST Product suite and third party integrated technologies for our Surface and Underground mining customers require.
You will have the opportunity to work on mine sites and in our Rockhampton Workshop.
Job DescriptionDay to day, you will: Install and maintain radio frequency (RF) equipment.Install and maintain Wi-Fi Network SolutionsRead and write RF transmission and reception systemsDeliver RF Solutions including Coaxial Cable TerminationTesting and splicing fibre optic cablesFault finding in all types of communications systemsBench repairs on electronic equipmentEveryone at MST is responsible for safety and you will ensure a culture and practice of safety compliance is maintained on all worksites.
Desired Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Certificate III in Electronic and Communications or equivalent.Two to three years on-the-job experienceFocused on delivering quality work to achieve customer satisfaction.Mine sites experience, either surface or underground(highly desirable)Working knowledge of communications technology and the mining industries (highly desirable)You will already have or be ready to complete:
