Communications Specialist

Job Description:

MGM Resorts International is seeking a part-time Communications Specialist to join our team in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, AU. As an Associate Level position, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of communications. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to promote the company's brand and engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:- Develop and execute communication plans to support business objectives- Write and edit content for press releases, website, social media, and other communication channels- Manage relationships with media outlets and journalists- Monitor and analyze media coverage- Coordinate internal communications initiatives- Assist with crisis communications as needed- Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in communications

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously- Driven and self-motivated- Strong planning and organizational skills- Leadership qualities
