As our Communications Manager - Australia , you'll play a crucial role in shaping and executing a communication strategy both internally and externally.
The aim of the role is to strengthen our internal comms and proactively enhance our market profile and brand.
You'll work closely with the Managing Director – Australia, Australian Leadership Team and the Clients & Markets team to develop a comprehensive plan, enhancing our communications strategy and aligning it with our company goals.
Based in our Melbourne office, you'll be responsible for leading our corporate communications - every day will be varied with new opportunities and challenges, but overall, you can expect to: Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication plan aligned with our strategy.
Oversee all internal and external corporate communication initiatives, including media relations, public relations, crisis communications and corporate announcements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, industry influences and stakeholders to enhance visibility and reputation.
Lead the creation of compelling corporate content for press releases, speeches, presentations, website and social media platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as People & Culture, Legal and Group Clients & Markets to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all communications.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and relevant news to identify potential risks or opportunity.
Act as a spokesperson for the company when necessary, representing our brand professionally and ensuring consistent messaging.
About you We're looking for someone who loves bringing people together and is passionate about making a difference through storytelling.
You bring proven experience in a corporate communications leadership role, preferably this will be in the engineering or professional services sector where you've developed your strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into effective communications strategies.
As a respected leader, you have a natural flair for building strong networks and expertise in managing relationships right across the organisation.
You have proven experience in building and strengthening comms capability throughout the organisation, working alongside people and coaching to enable them.
You thrive when faced with ambiguity; when the going gets tough, you overcome obstacles by recognising long-term opportunities.
You'll bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around you, taking them on the journey through empathy and influence.
You'll be focused on seeking out better practices for the overall quality of our work through expertise in media relations, crisis communication and reputation management.
A collaborative approach is a must to bring together specialist knowledge from different disciplines and across regions.
