Details of the offer

As a Communications and Engagement leader, it is not often that you will come across an opportunity which perfectly blends strategy, projects, community engagement, commercial outcomes, relationships and an incredible cause. We have newly created this role to help drive community awareness and highlight St Bart's reputation and advocacy profile, and we are putting all of our good vibes out there to bring in the perfect fit for our Partnerships & Engagement team.
This is key senior leadership role and reports to the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Growth, with a strong dotted line into the CEO. You will be responsible for leading our communications and engagement command to deliver our Mission and Vision. Managing all media relations, fostering relationships with WA's most influential, drafting and publishing compelling content and responding to tenders, your results will be obvious when our profile skyrockets and our fundraising efforts improve.
A day on the job will see you: Working closely with the CEO and Executive Team to create a world class communications and engagement strategy, then influencing and supporting stakeholders to deliver. Lead and manage the creation of high-quality content for various platforms, including digital media, press releases, newsletters, social media, website, and the annual report, to put St Bart's in bright lights. With your creative flare, plan and deliver major internal and external events, including fundraising events, community engagement activities, and public speaking engagements. Develop quality strategic communications for Government submissions, tender responses, marketing collateral, brochures, reports and other important stakeholder communications. Oversee and lead our creative content for impactful and engaging storytelling. Coach and grow team members, delivering an awesome and inspiring team culture. Your application will go to the top of our shortlist if you have: Experience working in a similar role, where thought leadership is key. Drive, energy, and autonomy, with a can-do attitude. You go the distance to deliver excellence to internal and external stakeholders. You are a natural-born leader. You get how your work impacts commercial outcomes, therefore building a stronger platform for St Bart's to fulfil its mission. An engaging personality – because 'engagement' is in your job title. While formal qualifications are not essential, qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a similar tertiary course will get our attention. What's in it for you? Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging giving you the potential to gain $15,900 in tax benefits. Leave: 23 days annual leave, that's 3 days more than the standard 4 weeks. Perks: Trendy workwear, lots of social activities, expand your experience by joining a consultation committee, interact with the people we exist to support. Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus the usual challenges at the end of month and end of FY. Career development: Training, accessible leaders, growth and advancement opportunities. Culture: Exceptional workplace culture – we work hard and have fun while we do it. About Us St Bart's is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation founded in 1963 as a small homeless shelter for men. For nearly 60 years, we have been standing by the side of vulnerable Western Australians experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, mental health challenges, trauma and hardship. Since our foundation, we have evolved into a larger organisation that provides supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most. Each year, we stand by the side of more than 500 of Western Australia's most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, supporting them on their recovery journeys and empowering them to achieve their goals.
St Bart's is an equal opportunity employer which values diversity and inclusion. We encourage applicants from all walks of life.
Submit your resume and cover letter using the prompts. Interviews will commence as soon as we see a resume we love.
