You will be instrumental in identifying and developing innovative projects and investment opportunities that not only benefit the community but also create alternative income streams for the Council.What Your Day Will Look LikeDevelop and implement strategies for the ongoing management and optimization of the Council's land and property portfolio.Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure alignment with organisational goals and community needs.Prepare business cases, financial forecasts, and performance reports related to property transactions and investment projects.Oversee and coordinate the land sub-division process, ensuring compliance with local government regulations and policies.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the sub-division process.Maintain a working knowledge of applicable legislation.What You'll Need For SuccessTertiary qualifications (AQF level 7 or above) in a relevant discipline (law, property, valuation, property economics); and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies governing property management, acquisitions, and disposals within a local government or similar environment.Experience developing and executing property strategies that support long-term asset planning and portfolio optimization.Highly developed written skills with experience in preparing business cases, developing strategies, reports, briefs, submissions, relating to the commercial portfolio.Well-developed communication and engagement skills.Current Class C Driver's Licence.Benefits Of Working With CouncilCommitted to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values-driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
