Commercial Manager

About the Role We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team in Canberra, ACT. Candidates with defence projects experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Fulfilling the requirements of the commercial function including optimising margin while protecting the business. Lead all Pre-Contract commercial activities on a complex project or range of projects. Work closely with project and commercial leaders to provide strategic commercial direction in the management of project goals. Assist with implementing and managing the procurement plan to support project schedules, whilst selecting and preparing the standard forms of supply chain agreements. Manage contractual disputes and risk mitigation. Ensure accurate and timely, weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting of project costs. About You Tertiary qualification in Commercial Law, Quantity Surveying or Engineering. Experience working on major construction projects including projects in the defence sector. Results-driven with a collaborative leadership approach and a high level of technical and negotiation skills.
