The Role As a Commercial Manager you will be at the forefront of shaping our business outcomes. Your strategic mindset and negotiation skills will drive success acquiring and renewing technology goods and services for Product and Technology. This role provides flexibility in terms of location.
The Job Drive and develop negotiation strategies to successful delivery and support the Head of P&T Partnerships to lead sourcing and renewals for high value, high risk and complex negotiations.
Partner with Product and Technology stakeholders to understand their needs, identify commercial requirements and risks, and translate these into effective negotiations, strategies, and contracts.
Coach and mentor subject matter experts on commercial best practices, enhancing knowledge across P&T and improving commercial outcomes.
Apply a strategic mindset to identify long term opportunities and risks, ensuring commercial decisions align with the overall business goals.
About You You are a highly motivated self-starter with significant experience in strategic business partnering. You have a proven track record in conducting high value and complex technology RFx processes and you possess relevant qualifications from CIPS and/or have proven experience in a commercial executive role.
You'll have:
Significant experience in introducing and optimising commercial practices to improve business outcomes.
Highly developed expert experience in vendor performance and contract management.
High level of motivation and personal initiative, with highly developed leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead oneself with intuition and accountability.
Significant analytical, problem solving and financial modelling skills with a focus on technology service cost models to support strategic objectives.

About ABC Product & Technology: The Product & Technology (P&T) division is responsible for delivering the technology and services that enable the ABC to fulfil its creative, strategic and business goals. The scope of activities and responsibilities of the P&T division range from keeping ABC programs and services on-air and on-line, to delivering on key projects, as well as assisting in setting the technology strategy and architecture for the ABC.
