Hours: Fixed term for 2 years (76 hours fortnightly) PURPOSE The Campaign Manager will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing health outreach initiatives regarding the self-collection option for cervical screening, contributing to policy development, and supporting the Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia (FECCA) and The Australian Multicultural Health Collaborative (The Collaborative).
This role involves working closely with diverse communities and peer organisations to address health and wellbeing issues, particularly for women and other intersectionality and identities with female sex from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Health Outreach and Engagement :
Support the development of educational and training resources for the self-collection option for cervical screening for healthcare providers and health consumers working with CALD communities. Co-design, implement and manage community health outreach awareness projects. Engage and educate community leaders and organisations from priority language groups, aiding in raising awareness about the self-collection option for cervical screening programmes. Administer small grants, handle day-to-day problem-solving, and monitor and evaluate tasks. Policy and Research :
Contribute to research, analysis, and policy development focusing on the impact of health issues on CALD populations, particularly the self-collection option for cervical screening in Australia. Assist in preparing policy positions and submissions. Stakeholder Management and Consultations :
Conduct routine and regular consultations with The Collaborative members and partners. Organise consultations on specific issues with relevant members and partners. Engage collaboratively with various stakeholders, including community organisations and groups, communicating confidently and proactively at all levels. Project Cycle Management and Grant Administration :
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in project cycle management and grant administration. Efficiently manage projects from inception to completion, including financial reporting and stakeholder engagement. Contribute to the evolution and efficient operation of The Collaborative. Work with FECCA Health and Aged Care Policy Unit as required. Participate as a member of advisory boards, contributing to campaign planning and execution. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in health, Social Policy, Public Administration, or a related field. Experience:Proven experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities or projects related to these communities. Experience in community awareness and engagement. Demonstrated experience in project cycle management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Experience in grant administration and reporting. ATTRIBUTES Excellent communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and engage effectively with diverse audiences. Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness, focusing on understanding and respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of CALD communities. Analytical skills, with the ability to critically assess and synthesise information from various sources to inform policy and outreach strategies.
