We are seeking candidates who are looking for an exciting career change to work with a Global leader for quality and integrity in a full-time role based in Muswellbrook, NSW.Job DescriptionSGS is looking for a Coal Technician on a full-time basis, to timely and quality sampling, preparation and analysis of samples for internal and external customers.After full training, you will be responsible, but not limited to:Assist with the preventative maintenance of all preparation and laboratory equipment.Ensure accuracy, precision and traceability of prepared samples.Assist with the calibration of all preparation and laboratory equipment.Follow routine and non-routine sampling instructions.Opportunity to obtain nationally recognised qualification if desired.QualificationsSGS will provide you with full training as required and on-the-job learning, but as the successful candidate you will also have:Previous experience in a fast-paced, physically active industrial environment.Willingness to learn new tasks.Reliable with a strong customer focus.Previous coal sampling and testing experience would be an advantage.Some computer skills, i.e. Excel, would be beneficial.A valid driver's license and reliable transport are essential.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work shifts and rosters and meet tight deadlines.Additional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?Working at SGS means joining an innovative, global company.
