The Role
Due to an exciting period of growth, Fitness Cartel Australia is actively seeking a Club General Manager!
Reporting to the Regional Performance Manager, you will be accountable for the overall performance and operations of the club, driving a culture of excellence, community, and high performance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing overall budgets and financials, including member movement/growth, EBIDTA, and retention strategies
Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality facilities are maintained
Recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining staff members
Delivering training and mentoring for Club Department Heads, running weekly meetings to engage and motivate teams
Overseeing staff rostering, approving leave, and managing fortnightly payroll
Managing internal and external marketing in line with the club's social media strategy
What You'll Need to Succeed:
To be considered, you will need experience managing a Big Box Gym with more than 20 staff and more than 2,000 members . Substantial experience in a KPI-driven management environment will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Proven ability to manage overall budgets and financials including member movement/growth, EBIDTA, & retention strategies
Expertise in overseeing large-scale gym facilities with multiple service areas such as crèche, retail & apparel stores, and cafés
Recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of staff
Effective use of internal software systems like Clubware, Debit Success & Gym Sales
Experience in organising and managing club events such as Open Days & 8-week challenges
