An eligibility list may be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies. This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
The Outpatient Department at The Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Officer to join their team. The Paediatric Outpatient Department at The Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick is a busy outpatients department that conducts specialist outpatient clinics for children from birth to 18 years of age. The service covers the main outpatients department and the Bright Alliance building that provides service to adolescent and young adult clinics. There is opportunity for a suitably experienced Administrative Officer to join the dynamic team in outpatients. The suitable candidates will work in all areas of the service and training will be provided if required.

What you'll be doing
• To provide administrative services to the department.
• To assist the team in their clinical roles e.g. booking appointments, bulk billing, managing the data base, records and reports
• The Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Demonstrated excellent administration experience within a hospital environment. Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills. Experience in a customer service environment. Pleasant telephone manner and public contact experience. Ability to use initiative and work independently and the ability to work as part of a team. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in particular Word, Excel, and Outlook. Typing (minimum 60 wpm) and data entry skills.
