An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join the Perioperative Unit at the Maryborough Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme. Your opportunity: To provide expert clinical and patient-centred care within Perioperative Unit through shift-by-shift team leadership. Support the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice. Responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education, and/or research within Perioperative Unit. The Clinical Nurse practices autonomously, applies critical thinking, and provides leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate services to Perioperative Unit clients.Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) From date of appointment for up to 12 months with possibility of extension. Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $131,900 p.a., comprising salary between $4,138.10 - $4,431.10 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., From date of appointment for up to 12 months with possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy).
