Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service
The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a large regional hospital that provides a wide range of services including emergency, general and surgical, maternity, outpatient, and outreach services. The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds. The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community.

About the Role:
As a Clinical Nurse in our Emergency Department, you'll provide top-tier care across diverse health settings, honing your skills from competent to proficient through hands-on experience and advanced study.
In this role, you'll be accountable for maintaining high practice standards, managing delegated activities, and guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. While your focus will be primarily on clinical excellence, you'll also have the chance to take on specialized portfolio responsibilities tailored to your career aspirations and performance development goals.

About you:
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience.
Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
