The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the in-patient Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, and wider health care team to support the Paediatric Surgical team's provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty paediatric surgery. This role will have a particular focus on:Providing comprehensive assessment, care planning and support through defined pathways and multidisciplinary engagement for children and young people needing a gastrostomy, inclusive of gastrostomy-jejunostomy; and,Improving and maintaining the effectiveness and coordination of care for several patients experiencing conditions such as tracheoesophageal fistula, oesophageal atresia and colorectal and pelvic-related conditions.
