Role detailsThe Care in The Right Setting at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a temporary basis. How to apply and for mandatory requirements regarding this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunityThe Clinical Nurse is an advanced level clinician responsible for a portfolio focusing on clinical care/leadership, management, education, and/or research, providing leadership, direction, and support to other nursing staff, students, and the interdisciplinary team.The CaRS Clinical Nurse provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care, and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Care in the Right Setting (CaRS) Unit. The Clinical Nurse will work across both GEDI (Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention) and HiTH (Hospital in the Home) and GEMR-HITH (Geriatric Emergency Management Rehab-Hospital in the Home). The applicant will have demonstrated experience, knowledge, and skills that support employment within these two specialties.About the TeamCare in the Right Setting is an Integrated Model consisting of Hospital in the Home (HiTH), Geriatric Emergency Management Rehab-Hospital in the Home (GEMR-HiTH), Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention (GEDI), Residential Aged Care Support Service (RaSS), and Virtual Health, with the aim to provide medical, nursing, and allied health care to patients in an appropriate setting. Patients receive quality care tailored to their individual needs.About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
