The purpose of this role is to facilitate system level improvements and advanced clinical expertise relevant to perinatal syphilis surveillance, care and management across Queensland. This role will liaise closely with maternity services and other relevant stakeholders across the state, consistent with the Queensland Syphilis Action Plan 2023-2028 and the Queensland Syphilis in Pregnancy Clinical Guideline objectives. The role will work with stakeholders to improve system processes associated with coordination of treatment, screening, antenatal checks, partner history recording, point of care testing (PoCT) at birth, follow up of baby screening and treatments, along with reporting cases.
