Mater Health has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Facilitator to join our team in a contract position from the start of January 2025 through to January 2026 in a part-time capacity working 24 hours a week. This CF position will see you provide expert clinical guidance and learning development for staff across our Rehabilitation Unit.
Based at our South Brisbane location, you will provide direct and indirect support and supervision to clinicians in the Rehab ward to promote and facilitate positive clinical outcomes and High Value Healthcare. You will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education to meet current and emergent Mater staff learning needs and support staff to work at the top of scope.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical learning opportunities to address knowledge and skill gapsCollaborate to create flexible and evidence-based learning resourcesCommunicate effectively and contribute positively to the workplaceSupport professional development and performance improvement processesProvide constructive feedback to staffUse simulation and other methodologies to enhance knowledge application and critical thinkingSeek innovation and improvement in education and clinical practiceEmbrace and support staff through change processesEngage in educational research and quality improvement activitiesPromote a culture of learning and empowermentPartner with interprofessional staff and patients to determine prioritiesAlign education activities with best practices and technologyMaintain relationships with partners to enhance education and clinical servicesUtilize data for decision-making and reportingSupport Transition to Professional Practice staff and studentsContribute to corporate education programs and seek feedback for improvementsAssist with orientation and onboarding programsIdentify evidence-based improvements for high-quality carePromote staff satisfaction and improve clinical outcomes through professional developmentAbout you Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered MidwifePostgraduate qualifications in Rehabilitative nursing or working towards them (optional)Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards it.Minimum of three years clinical experience in Rehab wardExperience in clinical facilitation, supervision, or preceptorshipExperience in developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical educationKnowledge of education and training in Australian healthcare organizationsProficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn relevant computer applicationsStrong time management and organizational skillsAnalytical problem-solving skills and ability to find innovative solutionsAbility to work with diverse groups, including nurses, doctors, allied health and admin staffNegotiation and delivery of various training solutions, including support, classroom training, presentations, and online learningAdaptability to changing demands in a dynamic organization.Ability to work well in a team or independently with minimal supervision.Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
