Role detailsThe Emergency Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Facilitator to join their team on a permanent basis.Your opportunityThe Clinical Facilitator (CF) is accountable for supporting, educating, and developing the knowledge and skills of the emergency nursing workforce. CFs practice autonomously, provide leadership, apply critical thinking skills, and have a strong focus on enacting teaching strategies. Clinical facilitation is delivered at the point of clinical care to support clinicians in achieving skill acquisition and practice development. The CF will support nurse progression in accordance with the lifelong learning framework, assist in achieving mandatory training requirements, and with achieving the requirements of the Transition Support Program (TSP) - Emergency.About the TeamThe Emergency Department (ED) is a level 4 (Clinical Services & Capabilities Framework). The ED provides 24-hour 365-day service for the reception, assessment, treatment, observation, admission and discharge of adults and children with urgent and non-urgent illnesses.About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
