This position provides clinical leadership to allied health professionals working in our Sexual Assault Services, Child Protection Counselling Services, our Health Team in the joint Child Protection and Response Program, and Sparks (lead program provider of Safe Wayz for children under 10 with problematic or harmful sexualised behaviours and their families).
Clinicians in these services are highly skilled, dedicated and motivated to continuously improve our care to those at risk of, or impacted by, violence and abuse, and neglect. About the job: By developing supportive collegial relationships with staff and their line managers, this position is called upon to provide a diverse range of clinical consultations and clinical advice in relation to assessment and therapeutic interventions with clients, medical – legal issues, interagency issues, and the professional development of staff.
The role provides key leadership in relation to quality improvement activities and new initiatives aimed to improve systems response to children, young people, families, and communities impacted by violence, abuse and neglect.
The role has influence, often being called upon to have input into policy development, research, and new program design. About you: This role requires candidates to have well developed skills and knowledge in the dynamics of various forms of violence, abuse, and neglect, advanced skills in assessment and safety planning, competence in the delivery of different therapeutic models, and working knowledge of the NSW Health policies and legislation regarding violence, abuse, and neglect.

The successful candidate will join a team of very capable and supportive peers and will have access to training through the Education Centre Against Violence.
