ABOUT THE BRANCH The Parliamentary Business Resources (PBR) Framework Branch in Ministerial and Parliamentary Services Division (MaPS), within Finance, provides advice and support services on a range of matters pertaining to Parliamentarians' work expenses in accordance with federal legislation. These include but are not limited to, property and facilities management and administration of work expenses.The PBR Branch consists of four teams: Capital Works and Security PBR Policy and Assurance PBR Service Delivery State Office and Property Support
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for motivated client service officers to work at the APS 4 level who are eager to strengthen their professional skills and influence the Australian Government's decision-making through the provision of high-quality advice and support to Parliamentarians, office holders and their staff.The Parliamentary Business Resources Framework Branch has teams across the Nation and relies on staff having diverse experience and skills in Client Service.As a Client Service Officer your duties may include but are not limited to: Communicating with current and former Parliamentarians and Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984
(Commonwealth) employees on a range of services within the PBR Framework. Researching, interpreting and providing accurate, timely advice in accordance with federal legislation and existing frameworks. Using a range of systems to process payments of accounts pertaining to Parliamentarians' work expenses and allowances. Providing property and office facilities management services and assisting with the effective operation of Commonwealth Parliament Offices (CPOs). Working collaboratively with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless client experience. Providing assistance with preparation of correspondence and reports, as required. Undertaking ad hoc projects, and general research tasks, as directed.

Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999 , employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) unless the Agency Head has agreed otherwise, in writing. Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated in the downloadable job pack. All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
