About the role
Based at our Hexham site, the Clerical Assistant / Customer Service Officer role contributes to the success of the InfraBuild Recycling business by applying customer service skills to ensure customer service standards are met, while assisting the Operations team in achieving growth in intake and gross margin in line with business plans.
The role is primarily responsible for general accounts management, training records and maintenance orders. The role will backfill the other Customer Service Officer role in the team to cover periods of leave.
Whilst the role is a part-time role you will be required to work additional hours (up to fulltime hours) to cover periods of leave within the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain customer relationships through service excellence
Collect scrap collection details from customer and book jobs in the system
Enter all scrap purchases in SAP and arrange payments
Raise purchase orders
Processing EFT payments
Set up new accounts as required
Provide efficient customer service via phone and email to continuously meet high standards
Resolve issues related to customer service and delivery in an efficient and timely manner
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service role
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
A positive and pro-active attitude and with the ability to multi-task
A passion for outstanding customer service and a high level of attention to detail
Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook and Word) including any CRM systems
Trader Dash and Weighbridge experience, advantageous
