The role As an integral part of the team, this role involves providing support to one of our Public Sector Partners, Jamie Doran and his wider team. The Public Sector practice group is a thriving and collaborative team working on some of the most interesting matters in Queensland, for example recently being successfully appointed to the panel for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee. As an experienced support professional, you will manage the administrative responsibilities and utilise your expertise in practice management systems to ensure seamless support to the practice, within a supportive and collegiate environment. We are looking for an individual that has exceptional organisational skills and who enjoys relationship building and client interactions.
Key responsibilities Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support Diary management including organising client meetings with occasional travel management Assist with the preparation and processing of pre-bills and accounts on a monthly basis, and client reporting requirements File management and handling including opening and closing matters Team player, willing to step in and assist and take initiative to assist in the smooth operation of the practice Skills & Experience To excel in this high-level role, you need:
Proven and distinguished experience in an administrative/secretarial role in a corporate environment - legal experience is desirable however not required Experience in billing processing, ideally with experience using Aderant Expert A flexible approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's profound success The ability to build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situations Advanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with meticulous attention to detail This position represents a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to elevate their career in a challenging, rewarding, collegiate and supportive environment.
