Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
The Role: Elecnor has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer to join the team.
As a Civil Project Engineer you will plan, organise and oversee the civil construction on a high-voltage transmission line project.
Primary Accountabilities: Evaluate and improve constructability and develop effective construction solutions and plans Oversee the safe and effective delivery of civil construction activities Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop scopes of work and evaluate and select appropriate sub-contractors and suppliers Analyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirements Prepare forecast and updates Actively lead and exemplify a target zero safety culture Implement systems and processes to manage the quality element of civil construction works Apply skills and knowledge to assist in planning and value engineering Lead in the management of employees and subcontractors and advise on commercial aspects and performance Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience as a civil engineer We're building a diverse workforce.
