Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.The Role:Elecnor has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer to join the team.As a Civil Project Engineer you will plan, organise and oversee the civil construction on a high-voltage transmission line project.Primary Accountabilities:Evaluate and improve constructability and develop effective construction solutions and plansOversee the safe and effective delivery of civil construction activitiesCollaborate with the Procurement team to develop scopes of work and evaluate and select appropriate sub-contractors and suppliersAnalyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirementsPrepare forecast and updatesActively lead and exemplify a target zero safety cultureImplement systems and processes to manage the quality element of civil construction worksApply skills and knowledge to assist in planning and value engineeringLead in the management of employees and subcontractors and advise on commercial aspects and performanceSkills & Experience:3+ years of experience as a civil engineerWe're building a diverse workforce.Elecnor is committed to being an employer of choice.
