About the role
Glenview Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in East Perth. What you'll be doing
Reviewing project documentation including contracts, plans, specifications, and scope of work. Prepare bid proposals and assist in the submission process. Complete material take-offs, request and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotes and raise purchase orders. Project planning, programming and preparation of budgets and forecasts. Measure works and assist preparing progress payment, variation and EOT claims in accordance with the terms of project contracts (or as advised by management). Attending ad hoc site-visits in regional locations when required. Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and quality assurance checks to ensure projects meet or exceed compliance standards. Utilize estimating software and industry databases to generate detailed cost breakdowns. Evaluate material and labour costs, equipment expenses, and subcontractor quotes. Participate in value engineering discussions to identify cost-saving opportunities. Stay up to date with industry trends and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness. What we're looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Civil engineering or construction management. 5+ years of experience in the civil engineering sector. Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to develop practical, cost-effective solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Work under pressure and to deadlines for multiple projects. Knowledge of industry-standard design software and CAD tools. Flexibility to complete project site visits ad hoc. What we offer
