We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (Design) focusing on innovative and sustainable design projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Subdivision Planning & Design Leadership: Take charge of the complete planning and design processes for various design projects, from concept proposal through to detailed design. Ensure all aspects of design meet or exceed local, state, and federal regulatory standards, from layout design and road network planning to utility placement.
Technical Review and Feedback: Conduct detailed technical reviews and provide constructive feedback early and throughout the design and development phases, ensuring that all project specifications are met and align with the highest industry standards.
Advanced Civil Engineering Application: Utilise advanced civil engineering principles to address and resolve complex land development issues. This includes but is not limited to solutions for drainage, sewage, water supply systems, and road construction challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain a collaborative environment with architects, town planners, and other related professionals to create designs that are not only practical and appealing but also sustainable.
Commitment to Sustainability and Compliance: Lead projects with a keen focus on sustainability and environmental compliance. Ensure that all designs uphold our commitment to minimizing environmental impact and maximizing resource sustainability.
Innovative Design Practices: Drive innovation in subdivision design by introducing cutting-edge techniques and materials. Aim to enhance project efficiency, cut costs, and boost the overall quality of outputs.
The Right Candidate will have:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
Professional Experience: 2+ years (indicative) of civil design experience (note all candidates at all experience levels beyond this are encouraged to apply)
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, DRAINS). Experienced with civil site design is preferred but not essential, however must be willing to learn.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations and sustainability practices.
Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in technical analysis and simulations.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and proven success in collaborative settings with diverse teams.
Innovation and Creativity: Demonstrated experience in implementing innovative design solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional growth and staying updated with industry advancements.
Additional certifications in sustainability or project management are advantageous.
