Key Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance on selecting, implementing, and optimising payroll systems like Chris21 to meet client needs. Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate compensation, deductions, and compliance with legal standards. Advise clients on Australian payroll laws, superannuation, and tax regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Identify payroll inefficiencies, streamline processes, and introduce automation to enhance accuracy and reduce manual tasks. Manage payroll teams (in-house and outsourced) to ensure clear communication, efficiency, and professional development. Lead payroll transformation projects, such as system transitions or structure redesigns, while managing change impacts. Collaborate with HR, finance, and IT to align payroll with broader business objectives and client needs. Oversee payroll risk assessments and audits to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance. Improve customer payroll services by enhancing self-service options and delivering exceptional client support. Advise on payroll scalability and integration strategies to optimize business performance and adopt best practices. Key Skills: Proficient in payroll systems like Chris21, including configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of Australian payroll laws, superannuation, tax regulations, and international compliance for global consulting. Expertise in streamlining payroll processes, automating tasks, and improving efficiency. Skilled in managing payroll projects, such as system migrations and process overhauls, within time and budget constraints. Strong consulting skills, able to assess client needs and provide strategic payroll solutions. Capable of resolving complex payroll issues by identifying root causes and implementing regulatory-compliant solutions. Excellent communicator, able to explain payroll matters clearly and foster strong stakeholder relationships. Experienced in leading change within payroll operations, including system upgrades and team transitions. Strong customer service skills, providing tailored support to both internal teams and clients. Advanced data analysis skills, generating insights to drive strategic payroll decisions. Detail-oriented, ensuring precision in payroll data, calculations, and compliance.
